I am please to offer from my private collection this exeptionaly rare antique 100% original WWI era German pilot's award Nomos Glashutte solid 14k gold full hunter case A1 grade OBSERVATORY APPROVED CHRONOMETER military pocket watch IN MINT CONDITION c1914! MUSEUM QUALITY WATCH! We know only few like this to exist in museums and private collections! This is a pocket watch with significant historical value! It has been awarded to the german pilote ace Julius Buckler for bravery personally by the German President Paul von Hindenburg.
The watch comes from Mr.Buchler's family estate sale.(Julius Buckler (28 March 1894 – 23 May 1960 ) was a credited with 36 victories during the war. He shot down 29 enemy airplanes and 7 balloons; two other victories went unconfirmed. He was one of only four German fighter aces to win Germany's highest decorations for valor for both enlisted man and officer.)
On the watch front case is hand engraved portrait of Paul von Hindenburg. The watch comes with CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. The watch is top qualty lever chronometer-one of the most accuarate mechanical time keeper ever created! This legendary Nomos Glashutte caliber movement with 8 Chatons! (4 screwd and 4 gold pressed under the dial).
The movement is all hand finished,special steel screws(untouched by human hand!),precision swan neck micrometric regulator,blue Breguet hairspring,the balance wheel is fited with gold compensateing weights,solid gold train.The movement is signed. Outstanding porcelain dial,signed NOMOS-UHR-GESELLSCHAFT, GUIDO MULLER&Co, Glashutte . The watch is in perfect working order-keeping exact time. The watch is massive 93g heavy!
