De Bethune started to its watches in an atelier style, almost 'tailor made' watches of highest elegance and refinement, and with a focus on the best possible finish. Without doubt, they make some of the finest watches in the world today. Right now they are making roughly 200 watches per year and have plans to ultimately finish 1200 watches per year in the future. For this relatively low number, they make quite an effort. Almost all of the movements they use are manufactured in-house. For so few watches, they already have an extremely impressive collection to offer. All of the DeBethune wrist watches in this style are made in precious metal cases made of gold or platinum and have the characteristic ogival lugs. The dials are guilloched by hand. The movements are also entirely hand assembled. The featured watch describe is a Swiss made De Bethune Classic DB25 SVARS1 in 18k Rose Gold drum-shaped case measuring 40mm diameter. The Roman numerals are in the spirit of the watch. Preferring Roman numerals to Arabic numerals in general. The needles are also made by hand and are made of blued steel. They are placed very close to the dial at their end and shave the outer ring. This is the most beautiful effect. Just beautiful.
