It is a part of Piallo, a watch and jewellery company that started in Vienna and moved to Madrid. The company also maintains a workshop in Pforzheim, Germany. Pierre Koukjian, a very creative watch and jewellery designer, founded the company with a friend and for a dozen years developed its reputation by making prototypes, doing research work, stonesetting and creating both watches and jewellery for numerous renowned Swiss brands. They then decided to develop their own brand, and launched deLaCour, producing their first collection called Via Larga in time for BaselWorld 2003. The featured watch describe is a deLaCour City Ego Episode Chronograph WATI0054-1419 DC270 Limited Edition in matte finished Titanium case measuring 55.5 x 54mm diameter. Fix decorated titanium bezel. Automatic movement, power reserve 42 hours. Displays a Black metal dial with White large Arabic numerals and indexes, minute track at outer rim. Polished Skeleton hands with luminescent coating, Red seconds hand at center. Small seconds at 9 o'clock position. Power reserve indicator at 2/3 o'clock and Date aperture at 4 o'clock positions. The Titanium case is exceptional along with the Black metal color dial combination is spectacular. The monochromatic ranges of Grey (from Black to White) with just a touch of Red as well as the vertical layered Dial, looks great accented by the large Arabic numerals, which makes it very easy to see and read. It is truly incredible as a complication. It is a Dual Time Automatic Watch with TWO separately functioning Chronographs and a Date Display, power reserve indicator and small seconds. WoW. It is very easy to use, considering how much it does! Also, although it is a massive watch, it fit the wrist very nicely and is extremely comfortable to wear due, because it is manufactured in Titanium which makes it light, and to the the horizontal laying of the watch and the curvature of the Caseback itself.
