My Great-Grandmother was quite the beauty in her day, and admiring gentlemen gave her some very nice jewelry. This is a fine example,
a 14K yellow gold bracelet watch, still keeping perfect time, with a sweet discreet ticking. The watch has a sliding top, a square with the letter A for Anna, engraved in gold, surrounded by 12 diamonds on blue enamel field, and embellished with tiny South Sea pearls at the edges. The watch itself has a Mother of Pearl face, Arabic numerals, and is marked GENEVA. The gold setting has some elegant filigree work around it. The clasp works perfectly, holding eight (8) rows of gold rope chain that measure 6" long; the watch and bracelet measure about 7.25" around in all. The watch is about an inch square. It is marked 14K on both the back of the watch and the case. Everything is original to this, and it is in excellent condition, both physical and mechanical. I have more photos and details for the watch for serious buyers, including the appraisal from the 1970s, please just ask.     The total weight of the piece is 83 grams. I would date it to the early 1940s.     Please look for more pieces from this collection upcoming, as well as my other auctions.
