A 14 K Gold Pocket Watch by the Elgin National Watch Co - dates 1882 This beautifully engraved hunter watch features a front cover, a back cover and an interior cover. The inside also shows that the works have both a gold and a crystal dust cover to protect the works. The face features a seconds and hands for the time with roman numerals and has a small chip to the enamel above the seconds. Monogrammed, inscribed twice and has an engraved date of 1883 which I love because it shows that this lovely timepiece has had been loved a cherished by many people over the years. The watch comes with a gold filled watch chain with attached pencil - the clasp being 12 karat gold.Marked on the front: Elgin Natn'l Watch Co.. The back works also marked. The works have a serial number dating this watch 1882.Measures: 3 inches tall x 1 7/8 inches wide - Chain measures: 15 1/2 inches long including pencil.
