Up for your consideration is this fine 21 Jewel South Bend "The Studebaker" Pocket watch, #229
This watch along with several other nice watches came out of an estate we bought. The watch winds up well and appears to keep good time, but might need a cleaning after all these years being put away. The porcelain dial looks beautiful with no visible cracks, let me mention that where the hands fasten to the dial face there appears to be 4 creases one at each compass point, we took a picture of the face on an angle so you can see them. I'm assuming this is normal from where the hands fasten to the face, if not we want to make sure we let you know. This in on way takes away from how this watch presents itself, it looks beautiful. The only other issue with the watch is it takes a little time to get the covers back on, because I didn't want to cross thread them.The serial number on the watch is # 643808 according to the South Bend Pocket Watch Site. The site also had this additional information about the watch.
