A very special large and heavy example with richly detailed engraved provenance throughout! Offered in excellent aged condition with an untouched patina. The 24 photographs provided tell the story much better than I can. There is a LOT of information contained on both sides of each of the three folding sheets of 14K solid gold & enamel! Please examine them all carefully. This extraordinary FOB/pendant features colorful enameling in red, white, blue and black. Amazingly, there is little if any wear noticed to the plentiful enameling as seen in the photographs. It is quite large in size and crafted entirely of heavy 14K solid yellow gold, measuring 1 3/8" high x 7/8" wide x 3/8" thick. The three thick & heavy 14K gold sheets open smoothly on their original hinge and lock tightly shut. The front sheet features a ruby or garnet studded Knight's Templar cross and daggers with enamel decorations and engraved provenance. The rear 14K gold sheet features a black enameled 32 and a stunning double-headed eagle with richly textured body & wings clutching a sword. Each side of each of the three 14K solid gold sheets feature abundant information about the origin and purpose along with incredible colorful enamel work and engraved names, locations and date. I don't claim to know much about Masonry, so as I said, I'll let the photographs do the talking. The piece apparently originates from the Pittsburgh, Pa. area and someone out there is sure to be familiar with the information contained therein. The piece is quite heavy, weighing a substantial 18 grams of 14K solid gold! It's also been professionally tested and is guaranteed 14K solid gold. An extraordinary find indeed!
