Important Antique 18k Gold 1870's Charles E Jacot Hunter's Enamel Pocket Watch

I have been collecting vintage watches for more than 25 years but I have never has a Charles E. Jacot pocket watch before. I believe this is a very high-end high grade watch. I used the Shugart "Complete Guide to Vintage Watches" and I believe this watch is part of the 3 or 4 star duplex series and shows as a 4 star hard to find watch. If correct this watch should be valued at $2500 to $5000. It is solid 18k gold and has a significant value of gold content alone. Weighs 45.2 pennyweight. This special watch has more value than it's gold content. The 44.5 mm gold hunter's case has an enamel design on both the front and back covers. The hinges are good. The case is SIGNED and has the same serial number, 26,366 as the beautiful SIGNED movement. Has wolf cut teeth wheels which is usually seen top end watches like the Patek and Vacheron quality watches. There is a Patent Date of Sept. 1872 on the movement. This watch is stem wound and lever set and does run. It will need a replacement crystal as the current crystal is cracked. The sub-second hand is also truncated. The dial is SIGNED.
