For the Rockford watch collector or just collecting antique/vintage pocket watches take a look at this nice time piece. This 18sz Rockford grade 810 is in very good condition, this watch is railroad grade but was being phased out because many railway systems demanded open face watches and being 16sz.As you can see this is a hunter case watch that shows nice details and a really nice dog pointing.I see no brassing on the case (case is solid brass), and the lids close securely. The dial is double sunk with a few hairlines. The dial is signed John Beck, Martin's Ferry,OOne of the previous owners who was a Mason painted his name Scott Green (caution if you Ultra Sonic this dial the paint will disappear).Glass crystal in excellent shape. The movement is great,no discoloration or rust. Also note the RG in a circle for railroad grade.Keeping very good time keeping up with my clock.Only 1408 were made, who can say how many survived, here is a nice example waiting for your bid. Please wait for invoice before sending funds.
