The 18k three colored gold case was made by the prestigious St. Louis, Missouri jeweler, Mermod & Jaccard, and without the movement and crystal, weighs 64.23 grams, or 2.06 troy ounces. The case is marked "18k Warranted US Assay" and "Mermod Jaccard" and includes its patent date of “188-“ (the last digit not being legible). The dust cover is also marked “18k.” The dial cover is set with a .10 carat faceted sapphire.
The entire watch weighs 128 grams, and the movement is a 21 jewel “Emperor” movement by the Illinois Watch Co. Its serial number is 2061612 which places the date of this movement to 1908.
CONDITION:
At this time the watch is in running order. There is a very tiny chip in the porcelain enamel dial near the base of Roman numeral V, and a slight bit of staining at the edge of that same area as well as some hairline cracks from that area going out. The case also exhibits normal wear from use.
