fine 18k 1915 29 jewel minute repeater ~ 5 adjustments

47 mm diameter not including the slide or the pendant ~ extremely smooth stem wind / stem set ~ in good running order though service history unknown & not guaranteed for timekeeping ~ strikes correctly as well with the slide in the case band at the 9 employed to activate ~ 2 jeweled hammers strike out the our 1st ~ then a doble strike for each completed 15 minute period & then a single strike for each additional minute past the quarter ~ on 2 gongs with a nice tempo & sound ~ housed in an 18k solid gold triple hinged open face Meylan signed case ~ engraved on the gold cuvette "fredrick w standart from carrie dec. 3 1925" ~ topped off by a stiff gold bow ~ clear beveled edged glass crystal ~ deep purple original steel spade hands ~ enamel dial with arabic numerals with no distractions i can spot ~ the nickel movement is a beautiful 29 jewel & adjusted to 5 position with geneva striped damaskeening ~ signed ed richard ~ locle ~ swiss ~ serial number 100578 ~ same number that is on the case ~ so i cannot say for sure who made it but it is very nicely finished with several parts that look very meylan ~ not that ed richard is an unkown... he was a maker of the highest calibre ~ decorated on the case rear with FWS ~ this is an excellent high grade piece of mechanical art in good order & appearance for the enthusiast to enjoy! please ask questions and resolve issues before you place your bid reserve? no reserve here! so if you like it you better place your bid now before it gets away! thanks for checking out my listing and if you are into watches please check out my other offerings & you might want to keep a half-an-eye on my upcoming listings as i am liquidating a long time watchmaker's estate-whilst i continue to span the globe for unique and exotic items to bring to your door!
