This listing is for a beautiful vintage men's dress watch from Audemars Piguet, one of the finest watchmakers in the world.  This watch is from their Huitieme line which was their prestige line in the 80's and 90's.The Huitieme is a fairly significant watch because of the movement, size, and the watches made by the other two of the top three at the time.  For a long period, the Huitieme was the only pure chronograph you could get from the big three.  It also used a new JLC movement (Jaeger LeCoultre was owned partially by Audemars Piguet at the time) that is now a staple movement used in many luxury watches.  The ebauche used in the chronograph was the first implementation of the ebauche used in the first Royal Oak Offshore models. This watch was also unique and notable as it came in a rather unusual size for the time, 40.5mm.  This case size, though, makes the watch very wearable in modern day, but also makes the simple time/date version stunning and incredibly readable.  The JLC movement used is extremely thin, though, so the simple time/date version is very thin, light, and comfortable. This particular model is very rare and I've never seen another like it.  Additionally, this specific watch comes with the full set: original presentation box, presentation sleeve for the watch, presentation sleeve for the papers, and full set of papers and service/transfer records.  Most Huitieme I've seen (and bought) don't come with anything beyond the watch. The watch also is extremely clean with very few scratches, none of which are imposing or incredibly noticeable.  As you'll see in the pictures, the engraving of "Audemars Piguet" at the top of the case is still extremely legible showing that the watch has been only very lightly polished if at all.
