The base of the around 140 year old FOB having a hand carved bloodstone wax stamp insert featuring a finely detailed three masted clipper ship on the water at the center surrounded by the Latin words "PER REPUBLICUM VIVO" along with two symbols at the bottom as you can see in the many closeup photos. This is some type of family crest or Royal seal. The intricate bloodstone wax sealer carvings remains in about mint condition with no wear noticed after all these years! This rare find is crafted entirely of 18K tri-colored solid gold. The 18K gold FOB is completely covered with engraved decorations that remain in excellent aged condition with light wear consistent with it's age of around 140 years. There are no breaks, dings, dents or repairs to either the 18K solid gold body or bloodstone insert.
Any hallmarks that may have been present have long been worn away, but it has been professionally tested and guaranteed 18K solid three color gold. The rose gold is faint with light traces. Note the elegant 18K gold bail with ridged border and finial at the top. Dimensions: 1 1/8" high x 1/2" wide at the center with a 5/8" diameter base including bloodstone wax sealer insert.
