He began restoring timepieces during his youth, thus fueling his already present interest in the art of horology. In 1996, Parmigiani Fleurier launched his first collection and in 12 short years has gained worldwide renown for his unique, beautiful and complex timepieces. The featured watch is a Parmigiani Fleurier Ionica 8-Day Power Reserve. It is absolutely stunning. The Tonneau-Shaped 18K White Gold Case, alone, is exceptional (it measures 34 x 45mm). It is double stepped with exquisite detail and refinement and has a gorgeous Black Dial with Applied White Gold-Toned Arabic Numerals, White Gold-Toned Javelin Hour and Minute Hands at Center, a Power Reserve Meter at 12 o'clock, a Date Display Window at 3 o'clock, and a Small Seconds Subdial with a Silver-toned Hand at 6 o'clock. It has a Manual Wind Movement, Winding Crown, Sapphire Crystal and an Exhibition Caseback and comes on a Black Alligator Parmigiani Fleurier Strap with a Tang Buckle. Water Resistant to 30 meters. Personal Note--This watch is as elegant as it gets. The case is gorgeous.
