Watchmaker’s steel wheel cutting engine dated Ao1775 and marked on indexing plate. Measuring 13 inches in length, and an 8 inch diameter brass indexing plate with 12 rows (unlabeled) for cutting various numbers of teeth. This is as I found it but I think it has some minor restoration to the rear section of the metal frame, and the traversing shaft and collar appears to be restored, but very well done. Other than that it all works as it should, gear driven via a crank handle with a cutting frame that can be lifted up and down manually, though please be mindful that this is no longer the functional tool it once was but now a collector’s piece for the serious collector of horological tools.
