Otay? OK!! I hope there are some collectors out there who appreciate both a rare watch and an exceptional value. Don't pass this one up...I do not remember the last time I saw an Otay watch for sale on Ebay. There were only a thousand or so made, so yes they are rare. This one is an 11 jewel, 18s, Serial number #1307, Lever set movement in a Hunter's case. Read the description above for a good perspective. Note the perfect dial (no blemishes), hands are original and the balance wheel has a good amplitude. (item was serviced less than 4 years ago). If you are not a purist, you can switch out the cases into something better, but I leave that decision to the buyer.First, look at the first picture. The "ADP" (Average Dealer Price) is MINIMUM $1,800, while the prices you would expect to pay at a Mart is around $2,500-$3,500 or more. In fact, the last Otay watch I saw was at the Pasadena Regional about 5 years ago, and the price then was $2,400 and as good as this one.
Second, Third and Fourth Picture shows a beautiful dial with no blemishes or chips.
The next three pictures show the movement and the unique regulator (all there).
