ELGIN ANTIQUE SZ 16 HUNTER WATCH IN KEYSTONE 14CT GOLD-FILLED WATCH CASE & 14CT TRIO GOLD EMBELLISHMENT TO OUTER CASES, C1897. This is a gorgeous antique Elgin size 16 hunter watch &  Encased in a Keystone  14ct GOLD-FILLED WATCH CASE & embellished with 14ct trio  of green, pink & yellow gold to the exterior sides of the hunter case, C1897. Beautifully rendered gold hunting dog with scrollwork on one side, & reverse side contains a Rose gold cartouche with initials of J.E.Rourke. Initials are quite fine,  There is lovely scrollwork with a circle of green, yellow  & rose gold flowers & leaf details. This stunning watch measures; 3” 1/16th inches TALL  x 2” 1/8th inches WIDE x 5/8th” inches THICK.  The Elgin watch has the serial number of; 2391059, details for this number are; Grade 114,  Size; 16, Jewels- 7, Year; C1897.  Class- 26, Model- 3, Finish- Gold Gilded, Adjusted- unknown,  Description – Hunter case movement, Lever set, Three-quarter plate design.  Rate- 18,000 bph. The 14ct gold-filled watch case is by Keystone watch company,  Hallmarked to both Inner parts of case, 14k,  Keystone watch Case, Urn logo, scales, &  2391059. There is a single inner case, marked; GLOBE W. C. CO, numbered 9120, as there are no hallmarks on this section, l am assuming this part is also Gold-filled. There is a further number just above the Elgin watch back section, of 91059? Please note, the colour of the gold hunter case, is more of a  warmer, light pink  gold hue.  The watch weighs,  113.4 grams,  includes weight with watch centre in situ.   CONDITION;  well cared for, past evidence of service, however, watch face is missing smaller lower hand, watch has been over wound &  needs servicing, & glass or crystal cover needs to be replaced & it is missing the glass bezel.
