Brand New in Original Boxes is this Jaquet-Droz L'Origine Swiss Timepiece. Jaquet-Droz makes some of the world's most intricate and unique watches. This model is clean and simple in design in comparison to their other models. It has a very classic touch with a definite bold and commanding presence. The 43 mm polished case looks larger due to the slim bezel design. The wonderful matte slate dial with it's brushed inner ring containing black Roman numerals and three blued screws at the 10,3 and 6 positions give this dial a head turning appearance. The large silver hour and minute hands fit the dial well as does the blued seconds hand. The proportioned signed crown completes this fantastic case. Sapphire crystals cover the front and back. Turn this piece over to view the 28 jewel, cal. 1153-A automatic movement. The 1153 is based on the Frederic Piguet Cal. You can also find this caliber in some Panerai Radiomir and Blancpain models. Most of these models come with an Alligator strap but we have it with a JD brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet with signed deployment clasp making this piece very hard to find even if you could locate a brand new one.
