]]> DESCRIPTION: In Good Running Order!! Kept 2-3 minutes when tested over 24 hours and is in excellent condition apart from the outer cover which closes and locks properly but leaves a gap when closed, as seen in the pictures. This is a rare early 19th century rack lever pocket watch. It has a solid sterling silver pair case both with full english hallmarks for "Chester 1832" and makers mark "EJ". There is a button to the side of the inner case which can be used to start and stop the watch in order to time events however a shake is needed to start it running again as this watch is not a self started. The dial is white enamel porcelain with roman numerals, a large seconds dial at 6 o'clock, and blue spade style hands. It has a clean glass bullseye crystal to protect the dial. The movement is an english key wind, gilt full plate movement with an ultra rare rack lever escapement and ornately engraved balance cock with diamond end stone. The movement is signed "Robt Roskill Liverpook" and is also numbered "23571". The balance cock is also marked "Patent" at the bottom. This watch comes with a key!! Diameter: 56mm Total Weight: 155g
