DESCRIPTION: In Good Running Order!! Keeps approx 1 minute over 24 hours and is in excellent condition apart from on close inspection some very very faint hairlines on the dial and also some very very minor wear around the edge of the case, as seen in the pictures. This watch has a power reserve indicator dial at 12 o'clock which tells the user how much power is left in the mainspring before needing another wind. The indicator on this one start past the 0 and finishes past 24. It has a plain quality rolled gold open face case by the Illinois Watch Case Co of Elgin USA and is stamped "Guaranteed 20 Years Double Stock". The dial is white enamel porcelain railroad dial with bold arabic numerals, bold spade hands, a seconds dial at 6 o'clock, a power reserve dial at 12 o'clock, and is signed "Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewels". It has a clean glass crystal to protect the dial. The movement is a high grade American, keyless wind, 23 jewel, demaskeened nickel 3/4 plate movement with a lever escapement, compensation balance with overcoil hairspring, micro regulator, and gold center wheel and jewel settings. The movement is also signed "Vanguard Waltham Mass USA" (Vanguard is the grade name) and is numbered "27322418" which dates it to around 1931. Other markings on the movement are "23 Jewels", "Adjusted 6 Positions", and "Lossier Inner Terminal Hair Spring" on the ratchet wheel. Diameter: 48mm Total Weight: 79g
