IMPROTANT: You are buying an antique/second hand item and as such it will not be in mint condition so please study the pictures carefully as you are buying what you see. DESCRIPTION: ITEM VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWR6jKEXDxs&feature=youtu.be In Good Running Order!! Keeps approx 3-4 minutes over 24 hours and is in excellent condition apart from a minor mark to the center of the crystal, as seen in the pictures and video. This watch has a quality lepine caliber 1 floating barrel movement with a Ruby Cylinder escapement which were only used by the top watchmakers due to the extreme level of difficulty in making them. I've tried to photograph the ruby cylinder in the last two shots but is hard to photograph without taking the balance off. It also has a pendant activated, striking on two gongs, quarter repeater complication which when activated can chime the hours and the quarters so the user can tell the time by sound to the nearest quarter. There is a button at the side that locks the pendant but does not lock very well. It has a solid 18ct gold open face case which is un-marked but tested and guaranteed to be solid 18ct gold. The case has a milled band and milled cover edges, and a single letter monogram to the rear. The dial is white enamel porcelain with arabic numerals bordered by a minute track, fancy blue hands, and a 24hour dial to the center which would have been applied by a victorian updating the piece somewhere around c1870 (a lot of watches were updated like this in the victorian period, especially verge watches which were updated to a lever escapement). It has a clean glass crystal to protect the dial (minor fault mentioned above). The movement is a continental key wind, 6-7 jewel, gilt lepine caliber movement with a ruby cylinder escapement and quarter repeater complication. Diameter: 57mm Total Weight: 112.5g
