Up for sale is a sterling silver open face quarter repeater pocket watch project. This watch does not repeat properly and needs repair. It was made around 1900 and is about 52mm in diameter. The sterling silver open face case is inlaid with a fancy floral design of niello. The niello is in good condition but does have some worn areas. There is a fancy engraved gold colored shield in the middle of the case back. The crown and bow do not match the case. The white porcelain dial is signed Dreyfus Marx & Co. Chaux de Fonds . There are some hairlines and some chipping around the hole for the second hand. The glass crystal is in good condition. It is pin set. The movement runs but the repeater does not repeat properly. It only repeats the hours and nothing else. I don't know if it is missing parts or has broken parts, but assume the worst and then you will not be disappointed. I am selling this project watch AS-IS.
