DescriptionHigh-quality antique Quarter Repeater & Chronograph pocket watch dated to circa 1900'. Full Hunter case crafted from solid 18k gold bearing the factory original enamel dial and complicated movement working wonderfully, featuring a Chronograph function and Repeater mechanism.
CASE: Full Swiss hunter case crafted in 18k Solid Gold, with think plain outer covers, solid gold dustcover and antique style crown with oval-shaped bow featuring a gold hallmark on the neck (see photo #7). It includes a push-button at 6 o'clock to trigger the bell mechanism and a chronograph button at 2 o'clock. Measures 54 mm (2.13") in diameter and is 14.5 mm (0.57") thick. Very good antique condition, showing a few signs of age and wear. Lids open and close tightly. Signed on the dustcover 'Repetition heures et quarts, Chronographe' and engraved with a series of medals that read 'Chicago 1893, London 1862, Wien 1873, Chaux-de-Fonds 1881, Liege 1905 Medaille d'Or'. Stamped inside all covers with corresponding 18k gold seal and Swiss gold hallmark. Marked inside with reference number 179602. The complete watch weighs 99.4 grams / 3.5 oz. DIAL: Original antique white enamel dial in outstanding condition, with no visible hairlines, chips or other imperfections. It includes black hands with black enameled Arabic numerals and a central chronograph hand. Small sunken seconds subdial at 6 o'clock and outer 60-minutes track in black. MOVEMENT: Original Swiss made complicated movement with Chronograph and Quarter repeating mechanisms. When activated, the movement will strike the last recorder hour and quarters. Single pusher to start, stop and sharply reset the chronograph function. Manual wind, lever-set (located on the bezel at 4 o'clock). Marked with serial number 258239.
