I am glad to present to you my Very RARE French fine pocket watch MUSEUM QUALITY Antoine Crosnier / Cronier à Paris 18k gold Verge Fusee Pocket Watch with Calendar More Than 200 Years Old and .. still working Amazing piece of history French watchmaker Very Famous for his mantle clocks Antoine Cronier was born on 13 January 1732 . He was the son of Charles Crosnier , a master carpenter , and Françoise Boulard . From 1745 on, Antoine Cronier was trained as a watchmaker at Nicolas Pierre Thuillier . In 1753 he opened his own business and worked as an independent contractor " Ouvrier libre " and was not a member of watchmakers guild . In 1763 he was officially rewarded as Parisian master watchmakers . From 1759 was Antoine Cronier in the Rue d' Orleans - Saint- Honoré 12 resident from then on he produced fine French gilt clocks , " Cartel " Clocks ( Wall Clocks ) , and watches with pedestal . For this watch , he worked with a number of well-known suppliers such as Robert and Jean -Baptiste Osmond, Edmé Roy, René François Morlay , Nicolas Bonnet and François Vion . Woodwork for watch cases mostly came from Schreiner Jean -Pierre Latz and François Goyer . He returned to respectable clients such as Marechal de Choiseul - Stainville , Mrquis de Sainte- Amaranthe , Prince Belosselsky - Belozerky , the Duke of Deux -Ponts and M. Sollier watches. Antoine Cronier died after 1806 , nor in 1820, the company was listed on the Rue d' Orleans - Saint- Honoré 12 In museums you will find watches from Antoine Cronier among others Waddesdon Manor in England, Musée Nissim de Camondo Paris, Munich Residence Museum , Koninklijke Musea voor Kunst en Geschiedenis , Brussels and at the Residenz Museum - Museum Bamberg.
