CASE: The 18K open face 16-size 50mm oversized swing-out style case displays enamel and split pearl decorations.
DIAL: This white porcelain dial features Roman numerals and spade hands.
MOVT: The keyset No 76,969 gilt movement has a lever escapement, ¾-plate layout and is signed.

Experts Opinion: Over the years many early verge watches were upgraded to lever escapements and in some cases, the movements were replaced with later better running lever fusees. This is such a watch – an 1860’s fine timepiece in the 1760’s enamel case. A very good-looking watch for the astute collector!
