For sale is this gorgeous vintage English fusee handwind WORKING, 18k gold pocket watch. The watch features a highly decorative face with a triple gold color flower pattern theme prevalent. This theme is continued all around the watch in yellow gold. The piece is very heavily engraved with detail and highly decorated all around the watch. The minute and hour hands are gorgeous and have decorative tips. I had the watch serviced by a professional watchmaker and servicer of antique watches that also specializes in repairs on high end watchpieces. The watch RUNS beautifully and is all original. It was cleaned, but only lightly buffed so as to maintain as much of the gold as possible. This maintenance and repair cost several hundred dollars.The case and dial are both 18k gold filled. Only a small percentage of these old English pocket watches were gold filled, with most (to my knowledge) only being gold plated. The hallmark "18" for 18k gold is faded, but visible on the case. The case also has a "B&C" hallmark which is presumably the smith mark. The movement also has "D Brothers" written on it. Additionally, the case AND the movement are both stamped with "1809," in this case, this is most likely the serial number. Most watches are sent out for casing, but this piece has matching serial numbers and suggests the casing may have been done in-house which would be rare. The movement features the words "liverpool," and "patent." The watch has some lever on the movement, which I have been told is likely some Massey Lever variant. Several Jewels are visible in the movement with some other beautiful decoration including blued steel. If this item comes and is different than described, a full refund will be issued, however, refunds will not be issued for any other reason. That said, please don't hesitate to ask for any more pictures or information! The item will be shipped with care and packaged extremely carefully.
