Very rare and sought after, all original solid gold 18 K Universal Geneve Tricompax Day Date Month Moonphase Chronograph with 30 minute and 12 hour registers, reference 12551, serial number 1043733. This watch is also called Harry Truman Tricompax after he wore this watch at the Conferencec of Potsdam in July 1945 along with other world leaders Stalin of the then USSR, Churchill (and later Atlee) of UK to discuss the political and economic principles concerning governing of Germany after its (Germany's) defeat. Watch worn by Truman had serial number 1043759, it seems, while this watch of offer is 26 earlier in serial number than that! Pictures of Truman watch has been taken from Omega Forum with due acknowledgement.Among the Tricompax models, this watch is the most collectible, much like the Steve McQueen Model among Rolex Explorers. The three subdials are a continuous seconds dial at 9, 30 minute register at 3 and 12 hour register at 6. Moonphase is below 12 and so is date dial. Chronograph function starts with the press of button north of crown, stops with the press of the same button and resets to zero with the press of button south of crown. Chronograph hand is slightly bent. Three pushers work for month, moonphase and date respectively-from top to below. Date and day disks seem to be in French or Italian: the same one which was in actual Truman watch. Same Feuille hands which was in actual Truman watch. And same chronograph hands.Watch has been serviced and working well. Its 30 minute and 12 hour registers are also working fine. Time keeping is good. The leather strap is an old one and should be changed. It has fixed gold pins on the 19mm lugs, as was the case with Truman Ref 12551.Would be shipped Tracked India Post Express. Attempt can be taken to ship private courier but attimes they donot take items that 'tick'. No returns due to lack of manpower needed to tackle duty exemptions on returned goods. My feedback should be your reassurance. Ask for as many photos or video as you need. More have been given in photo bucket, including of various stages of its servicing.
