Very fine 18kt gold case pocket watch Parisian watchmaker Verdiere with cylinder escapement, two flying barrels, stoppable, jumping and independent center seconds, Parachute shock protection. Bimetallic temperature compensation, and a magnificent Adelswappen on the back. The clock dates from circa 1820 -25 . Diameter 54mm. weight 94g. Straight, 18kt gold case with rich engraved Adelswappen from the back. Gilded dust cover with number 3028 , and the signature and address of the watchmaker "A. Verdiere Rue Dauphine N.15 Á Paris ". The case is in very nice condition. With the small slider below the XI can stop the second hand. The watchmaker is in the book Tardy "Dictionnaire des Horlogers Francais" on page 638 lists. There should be noted that the watchmaker from 1820 -1840 in the Rue Dauphine, but earlier in the Rue Thionville was resident. It necessarily follows from the said date the present PM. Silver Champlevé dial, it blackened, Roman numerals. Two blued Breguet hands. Glass and dial are in very nice condition. Beautiful, gilded movement with symmetrical structure. Cylinder escapement. Two barrels. Temperature compensation. Parachute shock protection. Blued screws. The clean movement runs flawlessly. Overall, the watch is in a very nice, fully functional state.
