Super Scarce, hand made, acid tested by professional jeweler, 18K solid Yellow Gold, tri-color, Verge Fusee, chain drive, antique pocket watch made by English maker:  John Johnson,  watchmaker in Charleston, South Carolina (reference page 41 and page 42, No. 7 The Complete Guide to American Pocket Watches, Cooksey Shugard and Tom Engle), serial No 8265.   Chain is there, inside the watch, but needs to be reattached, so the watch will require some degree of repair by a professional watchmaker to get it running again.  If the watch should require any parts, the parts would most likely need to be custom made by a professional watchmaker.  I can see only very tiny ding in case, barely notice it.  (Please look close at the pictures).  Has the key and a short chain.  Box looks to be original and measures 3.75" x 3.25".  Watch case measures 53mm diameter and 28mm thick.  Total grams of watch without the chain and key is 127.3 grams.    Case is stamped 18 (for 18K gold), B & C, and case and movement have matching serial numbers of 8265.  Gold is Tri-color yellow gold.  Chain drive.  Watch was presented at the Charleston South Carolina Antiques Roadshow on August 8, 2015, and the Roadshow document papers are included with the watch and case.  Your opportunity to own a very unique antique pocket watch, with key, papers, and case.  Please look close at the 12 pictures, and ask any questions before you purchase.  Please no low ballers on this nice old watch.  There is no return on this item, so please look close at the pictures and ask any questions in advance.
