Having founded the Wyler brand in 1924, he patented the "Incaflex" invention which provided guaranteed shock-ristence in 1927. The term Incaflex would become synonymous with Wyler. During his years of study, Wyler met the Italian distributor, Lucio Binda who had founded his business in 1906. Together Wyler and Binda formed Wyler-Vetta to sell watches on the Italian market. Binda is credited as being the first to use the "testimonial" in advertising, when in 1934 he provided watches to the national Italian soccer team. In another publicity feat in 1956, a Wyler-Vetta watch was thrown from the top of the Eiffel Tower and verified as still working by a neutral third party. The same performance was repeated in Atlanta. In addition, the brand was the first to be featured in a television commercial in 1953. Wyler-Vetta watches became known for their sturdiness and dependability. In 1993, after a period in which the brand was known as "Vetta", "Wyler-Vetta", and finally just "Wyler", Binda purchased the entire brand, and returned to the name "Wyler-Vetta". In 2002, "Wyler Vetta" was relaunched and in 2006, repositioned as "Wyler Geneve".
