This is an elegant Open Face Pocket Watch made sometime in mid 19th century Switzerland between 1840 to 1870. The open face case is 18 Karat solid gold (tested) with hand engraving and enameling on the back with an inner 18 Karat cuvette. The case measures 35mm across and is a very thin 5mm thick not including the Glass crystal and with the crystal is still a thin 8.5mm thick The pendant is at the12 and has the push-piece button which releases the case back. Attached to the pendant is a15mm round bow. The back of the 18 Karat case is beautifully Hand Chased with beading design and a lovely floral bouquet in the center cartouche and is Enameled with green and ruby colors. In addition there are 2 rows of Chased Circles that are Enameled with black highlights. Some Enamel is missing in the circles and bouquet. Inside of the case back is stamped with the case makers initials “J T” in two connected circles, “18K” and the serial number of “11735. There are some scratches and coding when service was performed. All stampings are faded from 150 years of polishing. The top edge of the case has some nicking and deformation from years of opening and closing against it's latch. The outside of the cuvette is Engraved the serial “No 11735”,where made“Geneve”, movement type“Cylindre” and 8 rubies “ Huit Rubis”. Also shows scratches from many years of missing the openings with the key along with a crease The inside of the cuvette also has the serial number of “11735” and shows fine line scratches. The slim L'pine Cylinder movement is 30mm in diameter with 8 Rubies made in Switzerland which is Key wound and Key set from the back. To wind the mainspring a No: 10 key (included) is inserted through the hole to the outside of the cuvette and to adjusted the hands inserting the key through the center hole. The key enclosed is a new generic piece a more durable vintage piece would work better. The movement was cleaned a few years ago. Even though Cylinder escapement movements are not known to be very accurate this held the time very well over a 24 hour period. This gilt finished unsigned bar style Ebauche movement has a polished steel escape wheel, plain Breguet cock with polished steel regulator, suspended going barrel, plain three arm gilt balance with blued steel spiral hairspring, three fingered bridge. The original White Enameled Dial has Roman Numerals and minute track. The dial is in mint shape. The blued steel “Breguet Corps Droit” style Hands are Original to the watch. The glass crystal is an unusual cut. The basic shape is square cheve (Paris) style with the center polished flat which shows as a circle highlighting where the hands meet at the Cannon-Pinion and arbor. The crystal has fine scratches but does not detract from the dial and hands.   NOTE: PLEASE KNOW YOUR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOM RULES, We are not responsible for Taxes, charges and delays with customs, when shipped internationally!! *PLEASE VISIT OUR EBAY STORE FOR MORE GREAT  ITEMS!* SHOP WITH CONFIDENCE WITH OUR 100% FEEDBACK!
