1888 Imperial ANTIQUE Pocket Watch by Renowned Watch Maker to the Royal Russian Court • Pavel Bure / Paul Burre Royal Court Watch Maker • SWISS mechanism (Bure imported all mechanism from Switzerland and was obligated to number each one) • Silver Argent 0.875 • Standard Bure Inscription Reads: "Pavel Bure • The supplier to the Court of His Highness # 9808" • #9808 corresponds to production year of 1888 - see bottom of page • Coat of Arms Decor • Many RUBY stones appear in mechanism (I assume they are as they are pink gems) • Approximate weight Russian Empire appears WORKING !!! The mechanism works, • hour and minute arrows move • Seconds arrow is moving • Hour / minute arrows look like they were replaced Other then 2 arrows, appears completely original. My family is Russian Nobility for many generations. I found the watch when I was a little girl in our St Pete home (also location of imperial court and Paul Bure workmanship) and I kept it for 40 years moving around the world. Diameter of dial: about 42 mm (1.65"). Thickness: 12-13 mm (0.51"). The watch looks magical and is filled with positive energy of the Nevtonoff noble lineage:) Myself included.
