Glycine Airman!!
Up for auction is a Vintage Glycine Airman Military GMT Watch! 60's Era Military Pilots Watch! Rare!! This is a MUST HAVE for the Glycine or pilot/military watch collector! The watch case measures about 36mm in diameter and is 20mm between the lugs. One of the top lugs is slightly bent. A strap or leather band will fit the watch but a metal band might not. The case appears to have never been polished! The crown has been replaced at some point. The rotating bezel moves freely when you unscrew the second crown (which unscrews and screws back down without issue). The original Glycine dial reads: GLYCINE AIRMAN AUTOMATIC SWISS. The dial has a small scratch near the center of the dial by the base of the hands. The spots on the dial seen in the photos are likely bits of dust or luminous material due to the age of this watch. All of the luminous dots are still intact on the dial and have a beautiful creamy patina now. The luminous on the hands has likely been redone at some point. The second hand has been replaced. The luminous in the minute hand is slightly damaged but luminous on the hour and minute hands remains intact. The 25J Adjusted 1700/01 movement is working and the date flips over at 24 but we do not warranty the timekeeping. There are light scratches on the case from age. The caseback reads: Stainless Steel Automatic Waterproof Incabloc Swiss PAT 314050. The engravings on the caseback are readable and NOT polished down which is rare to find on a watch this age! The caseback also has the 3 arches design at the top above stainless steel. The watch is sold AS IS Don't pass it up! See photos for condition please!
